As this was our first house and we didn't know where to start. “Blown away” is the first thing that comes to mind when we reflect on the work Maha did for us. Maha greatly surpassed our expectations at every turn. Every time a problem arose Maha was there with a solution. Every time we had a question Maha was there with an answer. She answered our questions promptly, was always in a good mood when we saw her or spoke to her and she removed a great deal of stress from buying a home. As first time buyers we were not very familiar with the process and had no contacts for such things as a water inspector or a good real estate lawyer. Maha had connections for everything we needed. We were in good hands with her and the people she referred us to were absolutely fantastic. Not once did we doubt that she was looking out for anything other than our best interests. She was friendly, personable, she respected our budget and we never felt any pressure from her. It was crystal clear from the outset that she wasn’t there to sell us ‘‘A’’ house, she was there to help us find ‘’THE’’ house. When viewing houses Maha had a keen eye for spotting defects and was very clear in illustrating what the problem was and why it was a problem. “This will cost you a lot of money in a few years.” “This will hurt resale.” Etc. She let us take our time with the viewings and formulate our own opinions, but was always there to offer her own insightful and much more experienced opinion when we were done. Maha shined during the negotiation process when she was dealing with a somewhat less than scrupulous counterpart. Maha went above and beyond to make sure that we weren’t being taken advantage of by a selling agent who was clearly putting her own interests ahead of both ourselves and even her own client. We got the house of our dreams for the price we wanted. It is our firm belief that you will not find a more congenial, professional, or diligent Real Estate Agent anywhere in Ottawa. She maintains a light hearted and contagious sense of humour to help reduce the stress felt with dealing with such a large investment. She exudes confidence in her ability to deliver what she promises and follows it up with the right adjustments to attain the goals set in place. She is committed to each and every one of her clients in ways that I have yet to see matched by many other industry experts. Finally, her positive attitude provides the uplifting required when the process has a potential hiccup along the way (needing painters, surprise repairs, etc..). Even if you already have an agent in mind, you owe it to yourself to have Maha sit down with you to discuss what she brings to the table.
